MY AIRBNB STORY

From Airbnb guest to Airbnb host.

I’m naturally an introvert, so remote work fits me perfectly. I love the freedom, the quiet, and being able to work from almost anywhere.

But after years of working from home, there came a point when I wanted to meet more people.

The funny thing was… I still didn’t really want to go out.

So I started asking myself:

How can I meet new people without having to leave home?

And somehow, Airbnb became the answer.

Whenever I travel, I often choose Airbnb. Beyond the stays themselves, the whole concept fascinated me — how someone could open a space in their home, welcome people from different places, and turn it into a business at the same time.

Then one day I thought, why don’t I become a host myself?

So I did.

What started as my introvert’s solution to meeting more people eventually became something I genuinely enjoy.

Today, that little hosting journey has grown into Just Like Home — spaces I’ve created for people visiting Davao to have somewhere peaceful and comfortable to call home, even if it’s only for a few nights.

Learning how to make money work for me.

For a long time, I understood how to work for money. Now I’m learning how to make the money I earn work for me.

I’m building my knowledge and investments across stocks, dividend-producing assets and cryptocurrency while learning more about financial freedom and creating multiple sources of income.

I’m not a financial expert. I’m simply documenting what I’m learning along the way.
