About Gine

Hi! I’m Gine, and I am so happy that you found your way here to Gine’s Kitchen.
My mission is to help you cook and eat the healthiest way there is to live happier healthier lives. I love to cook and bake simply for the sake of creating exquisite dishes to share with my loved ones. It is an integral part of my holistic approach to the pursuit of health and happiness.
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the power that food brings to our lives. Its ability to bring joy and satisfaction, as well as health and fellowship to the human experience continually amazes me. I realised that by mastering the culinary arts, I could beautify my life and the lives of those around me. I started professionally honing my natural culinary talents in 2015. Despite working full time and managing a household, I completed my culinary arts training in 2016, during the graduation I was honoured as the top 2 in the class. In 2017, I pursued baking and enrolled for Diploma in Pastry Arts and trained in one of the best hotels in Davao City, Philippines.
Enjoying sumptuous food is a total body experience that involves all of the senses. When I cook, I’m aware of the complete experience: the preparation, presentation, smell, taste, and enjoyment of eating. I love exploring new cooking techniques and venues, not to mention different cultures and countries. I have found that every new country I have visited is an entire universe of comestible delights to be discovered and adapted.
My home island, Mindanao, has been influenced by several cultures over the millennia that have left it with a diverse culinary tradition. Many of my influences originated from East and Southeast Asia
